We printed some new stuff up yesterday! I will post a picture soon. You know, some dinosaurs, some tigers... the usual. This stuff is new, though, and on really cool shirts.
The shop was super hot yesterday and for some reason Nick decided not to use the AC unit. I think he wanted to mark each new item with a drop of his sweat.

Tomorrow we are going to Roswell to play Whirlyball. Nick has a show there... it should be fun. I wonder if there is anything cool in Roswell...
My freshman roommate was scared to drive on major roads, and she was from Roswell, so I guess I know one thing about Roswell: there are back roads to get there from here.

Asheville

We're headed to Asheville this week to do a craft fair thing. We just realized (after applying for this) that we REALLY hate selling our stuff ourselves. It is no fun at all, and it kinda hurts your feelings when people put your stuff down, or pass by your rack. Anyway, we already committed to this one, and it seems like it will be really cool, so wish us luck. Plus, we get to go see our dear friends at Harvest Records in Asheville, which is always fun, even if all they want to do is sit in the park and read Harry Potter.

Nick and I actually started printing some new stuff for Satisfactory this weekend. We printed the tags in the back of all the clothing. Not a huge accomplishment, I know, but at least we started. We have to get all of the new stuff done in a little over 2 weeks.

In other news, here is a badass new poster for Nick's band, Dark Meat, who left for tour yesterday (without him).

Nick finally got back around 5:30 this morning after a super-long drive back home from Austin, Texas. While in Austin Nick joined Dark Meat in about a billion shows, as I understand it, constantly pelting the audience with objects, and in the words of Jeff Fallis, "Letting their freak flag fly". See photo attached.

Also, here is a bad photo of Jess (my newest blog game). Evidently Jess likes to stick out her tongue, while speaking into the ol' pretend finger phone. Wonder what she was saying??

Oh yeah, and clothes. We're gonna make some more, 'cause it turns out people actually want them. Who knew?

Babies and vanity

My best friend Jess never, ever checks this blog. She does, however, check our other friend Anita's blog DAILY. I asked her what the problem was, and she let me know that my blog doesn't have babies on it like Anita's does (visit the link Aubreys in Athens for example of baby cuteness).
I think this excuse is just ridiculous, because I routinely post pictures of Nick on here, who could possibly be the cutest person of all time. No offense, Anita, your baby is cute, but I'm taking Nick on this one.
Anyway, so Jessica has beat me down, and in attempt to drive more best-friend traffic to this blog, I will submit to the request. Here she is, in all her glory, Ms. Peyton Louise Aubrey.

I am also taking it a step further. We are all vain creatures and like to see ourselves online. So, Jess, check back periodically, cause I'm gonna make you famous. This weekend

This weekend was really great, and super busy. We went to Star Bar to see Dark Meat on Friday night. I used some fancy pantsy ear plugs, but my left ear is still really mad at me. Then Saturday we spent some time at a boutique, 1FIVE0 in Atlanta. The owners, Leslie and Lanny, are really great. I think the plan is for them to carry our whole line starting in May. We really can't believe it.

Today is rainy and gross, and I get to be in it all day long (with heels on). Tonight Nick's band Dark Meat is playing at Star Bar in Little Five Points. Come out and see it! It will be very loud. Here is he, looking cute, playing music.

So I finally convinced my ever-so handsome partner Nicolas to make us some business cards. They turned out really lovely!
Our friend bp helium posted a blog about our site on the elephant 6 collective page. I guess that got us some attention, and we sold 4 of montreal posters that night.
Nick is headed to SXSW next week, leaving me alone for far too long, and undoubtedly to have a great time without me. He has a ton of shows to play out there with Dark Meat. They would like to kidnap him for months as their tour circles the states, but thankfully he is renting a car with bp and driving back home. Maybe I'll post some pictures he takes out there-

Sexual Panther

So, we are are really, really proud of how well the shop has been doing on etsy. We have sold lots of shirts online, and have had some inquiries from boutiques about carrying our items. We sold 12 shirts yesterday to a woman in Tampa who wants to start up a boutique soon. Lets hope for the best!

Last night we went to flicker to hear our friend, the sexual panther, jeff fallis read some poetry. He had some new poems since we last saw him read that were really, really great. We listened and laughed, went to get some pizza with friends, bathed, and ended the night with some Project Runway. All in all, a really great evening.

We sold our first shirt to someone we didn't already know last night! Turns out that this is pretty exciting, and people may actually want to own our stuff. Which is really great. I feel like I will have twins in random places, which I guess is what I should feel like when I buy clothes from The Gap or Old Navy, but this gives me a really feeling of pride (instead of dread and regret.. hehe).

Anyway, so yeah, we put some items up last night on etsy, before I got too tired (I am suffering from a pinky finger injury...it is very draining to be recovering from this type of thing). Here is our site:

So our girl clothing is all printed up and ready to go (more or less). We had a modeling session last night in my silly tea-party house, featuring myself (melinda), along with two lovely ladies that go by the names Megan-Louise and Annie Panty. Ok, thats not her last name, but it works. Also present was our photographer, the ever-handsome Mr.Nick Canada, the ghost of my roomie Joseph (who was just too tired to function), Valentine and Cap'n Crunch, and the ears of some long-forgotten pigs that the pups were chewing on.
